Walking around the neighbourhood, treasure hunting for discarded clothing that I can cut up and combine and create new designs out of.
Certified organic materials used to be seen as the antidote to fast fashion and consumer culture exhausting Earth's limited resources.
Now we know that even the most pristine organic cotton uses enormous amounts of resources, like water, space and labour.
But we still want new stuff! And I still want to create new things!
And that's how trash became a cherished resource.
