04.12.09: The summercollection 2010 is gonna be ready for theKey ecofashion-fair in Berlin 20-23. January 2010. The clothes are being designed right now!

18.09.09: Treches will be represented at Ethical Fashion Show (1.- 4. October) in Paris by the people behind theKey, because they want to show off german green fashion...!

We will also be at Ökorausch in Köln ( 10 + 11. Oktober).

03.09.09: new collection: beton for winter 09/10.
The clothes will be in stores beginning of october.

I chose the name "beton" because the grey melange fabric I've been using a lot in this collection reminds me of it; typically a quite bland fabric, seen everywhere, used in cheap massproduced clothes (/buildings), but with some effort the material can be elegant, special, playful...

..and then adding a splash of colour..!

06.08.09: don't worry, you won't have to wait forever! --If you're waiting for my wintercollection, that is..
The fabrics should be on it's way (I hope), and this time, I'll tune down on the crazy colours, and rather focus on geometric cuts. I have some jumpers, dresses and skirts in greys and black, some new unisex hoodies with splashes of brigth dyes (coudn't help myself - I love strong colours!), as well as some other suprises...

But it's not quite ready yet..

11.06.09: Treches will be at theKey --the fairfashion fair during Berlin fashion week.
1st till 3d of July it's professionals only, Saturday 4th of July is open for everyone! We're planning a recycle/upcycle/redesign event that day, look at fashionreloaded's webpages for more info.

But please don't excpect me to have the wintercollection finished on this fair... I might have some new prototypes to show off though!

17.04.09: the summer-collection is ready! the catalog (actually: posters) are sent to the printshop,
or you can see new collection right here (right now).

The production starts in a couple of days, so the clothes should be in stores in about two-three weeks

08.04.09: it's the rule rather than the exception; the summercollection is a bit late...

-but nevermind, it's on it's way.
because it's so late I've chosen to release only ten new pieces this summer, there's
a couple of dresses, jumpers, a skirt and some other surprises... (did I ever claim treches is only for women?...)

and treches has got a new logo! (made by Bureau Bruneau). I put it up in the corner for now, to make you used to it, before it appears on all the clothes of the next collection

15.03.09: back again from Mali, with a bag full of inspiration and new ideas..

..so it's time to get serious about the summercollection.. i'm drawing prints and cuts, and trying them out - but still waiting for all the fabrics to arrive.
it might be ready in the beginning of april.. i hope!

12.01.09: some pieces of the wintercollection (021, 022, 025 and 033) are temporarly sold out because i bought to less fabric -but i hope to receive more soon!

...of course, i started to work on the summercollection, and have some pretty neat ideas! ..it seems like i will be able to use some of my experimental techniques, since they finally passed the washing-test!
But i cant decide on the colours...

Oh! and i booked a flight to Mali and will be gone all february!!!

15.12.08: ...i'm working hard to finish all the orders before christmas!

i was invited to blog with the korrekte klamotten-crew. Together with other p.c.* clothes-labels and people i'm writing about... well, let's see...!
(*that's how i understand the word korrekte klamotten...)

and i finally did a succesful project with recycling plastic bags. check it out under "projects"

10.11.08: ...now the catalog is online. up there, in the corner!

22.10.08: well, the wintercollection is still not finished... :)

..but it's not so long now: the clothes are nearly all sewn (sowed?) and on wednesday, we'll do the photos!

18.09.08: the wintercollection is on it's way! right now, i'm drawing and sowing the prototypes, and waiting for the fabrics to be dyed.

I hope to have the catalog finished for the end of oktober...

20.08.08: a long time without any news, but actually a lot of things have been
happening;

the ladenatelier is starting to look very good, i've found some new stores where
[treches] will appear, and most importantly: i've been on holiday...!

I've also started to work on the next collection, my attempts to dye the fabrics
myself, with nature-friendly materials, you can see on the "projects" page.

21.07.08: [treches] now have a labelstore!

the opening-vernissage on friday July 18th 2008 was great! Check out the
atelier b112 webpage, where you can also find more info about the other labels
in the store.

18.06.08: one month till the opening and the store looks like this !!
..well, we'll have something to do this summer..!

I'm also happy to inform that Bransparent has included [treches] in their list of
sustainable labels!

09.05.08: we got a place! i mean a store, and atelier! from the 18.june 2008, [treches]
will share a nice little store in Boxhagener Strasse 112 with the labels: jbr ,
dollkiller and sickgirl.

For logistic reasons (...) a store has to have a name, so we decided to call it b112...

30.05.08: [treches] is slowly finding it's way to a store near you! i'll be updating
the "where to find it"-list every time i find a nice new store.

(i'm also looking for a place for my very own atelier/store --today i've seen a really
good one!)

14.05.08: together with Paola from "Dollkiller" i've started to search for a location
for a store/atelier in Friedrichshain (Berlin).

and i've finished the catalog for the summer 2008. it's a nice twelve-page booklet,
which you can also see here on the web. for the price- and size-list, please contact me..

07.05.08: the fashionshow in Lido was great fun and successful! i've put up some
photos, if you missed it..!

now i'm working on a catalog, and searching for stores where you could buy
[treches] clothing.
they will also appear on the Trendmafia market on the 7th of June!

26.04.08: the first collection is soon finished!

10.04.08: [treches] is a new, organic fashion/streetwear-label. Both the first
collection and the webpage is under construction..

About

Jeanette Bruneau Rossow is the founder and designer
of Treches. She originally studied art-theory in Oslo
before moving to Berlin. Designing, sewing and printing
clothes had long been a hobby, and in Berlin she made
a full-time job out of it. With no official education but
5 years of experience as a full-time occupation, she's
finally starting to know the trade.

The label is set out to be different, not only because of the designer's
concern for the environment and humanity, but also because
emancipatory feminism, a critical view on society-structures,
and a desire to change things are among the things that drives her.

Sandra Tiersch is a trained tailor and sews the more complicated
pieces of the collections.

History

"The idea and dream of making a sustainable streetwear-label, with trendy, comfortable and colourful
clothes, came to me during the summer of 2007, when I realised that ecological and fair produced clothes
mostly means boring and nature-coloured sweaters and t-shirts.
I wanted to introduce a clothing-label where the reason why someone would buy something still would
be that the clothes look and fit nice. Because if the ecological clothes are limitied to a „pure“ look and
classic cuts, it can never really make an impact on the fashion- and consumer-world. We need cool
clothes, that „just happens“ to be social- and environment-friendly!
(..And it's of course also important to me as a designer to express myself through vivid colours, different
cuts and strange prints.)

During the winter 07/08 I saved up money and ordered my first rolls of organic cotton, realising that the
fabric-prices unfortunatley will push the prices of the clothes up. I will though, always be commited to
keep the prices as reasonable as possible; I don't agree that a sustainable lifestyle should be a luxury.

May 4th, 2008, the first collection was launched. I had a fashionshow in Lido (Berlin-Kreuzberg)
and with the help of my friends as models, we showed the [treches] summer-collection 2008.
After some weeks, the clothes were produced and ready to buy in a few specialised fair/organic
fashionstores around Germany and Norway (where I come from by the way), as well as in some
conventional fashionstores here in Berlin.

June 18th, 2008, [treches] got a labelstore together with the brands „Dollkiller“, „Sickgirl“(recycled clothes)
and „JBR“(my other label, mostly prototypes for treches). Here, the clothes are designed
and often also sewn. "
